Where do I start? How do I start? What id I have never pitched before? What do I say? How do I start to find funding for my show? These are common questions every creative has about beginning the development phase of their project. In this workshop Damian Pelliccione & Diahnna Nicole Baxter will take you through the practical aspects of development, production and distribution strategies for diving into creating your passion project starring you! For this workshop we ask you come prepared with at least one idea, no more than three that you are passionate about to be developed into a web series. By analyzing what works best in the on-line narrative arena, attendees will choose one idea to focus on and pitch to the rest of the group to get feedback. Once the workshop attendees have gained more specificity about their idea, its genre, format, etc. they will compile a list of the resources they ALREADY have to use towards producing their series. Students will also learn how to work with SAG, AFTRA, WGA,  and PGA new media departments and have the opportunity to join these unions just by producing their web series.
Damian & Diahnna will explore the various aspects of pre-production, creating a pitch package/site and the tools and strategies needed for creators to successfully take their series out into the entertainment industry.

Damian recently produced Taylor Negron's (Fast Times at Ridgemount High & Bio-Dome) original Web Series THE FORECLOSURE Staring Taylor Dayne (80's Pop Singer), Taylor Negron and Elisa Donovan (Clueless). Damian also Produced BIGGEST WANNABE which releases this year Staring Jeremy Miller (Growing Pains) 1st ever interactive user generated viral video comedy competition. Damian's company is currently Producing www.iamcartera.com first ever interactive gay sc-fi super hero series.

Damian Associate Produced and Cast www.inthemoment.tv a gay men's HIV prevention and health campaign funded by The City of West Hollywood and Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. Currently in its 3rd season the serial was advertised on the side of buses, Bilboards and Bus Stops.

Damian has also worked in traditional media Line Producing For CMT Canada a Clip Show called CMT STAR. Damian also Hosted and Segment Produced original non-fiction reports for Broadband Networks and VJIam for CBS and So Media.

Last Summer Damian was the consulting producer on the DIsney Feature Film "Elle - A Modern Cinderella Tale". Damian Created and Currently host Downtown Los Angele's 1st Entertainment and Tech Mixer NEW MEDIA VAULT co-hosted by Tubefilter.tv.

Damian also Event Coordinated the After Party to The 2009 Streamy Awards (Web TV Awards) with www.tubefilter.tv.

Diahnna Nicole Baxter, Actress/Writer/Executive Producer, "SATACRACY 88"

Diahnna Nicole Baxter is the Emmy Award-Winning actress/writer/executive producer from the sci-fi thriller SATACRACY 88. A pioneer of the web, Diahnna Nicole Baxter co-created, co- wrote and starred in SATACRACY 88, the first web series to win an Emmy Award, and was nominated again the following year.   She also took home the Peoples Voice 2007 Webby Award in on-line drama, (Noted as the Oscars of the internet by the New York Times) and was named an Official Honoree of the 2008 Webby Awards.

Diahnna is a graduate of Duke University. Her studies of Literature and African/Women studies took her to Cairo, Egypt where she worked with famed activist and writer Nawal Al-Saadawi. Returning to the states with a new worldview and inspiration, Diahnna integrated her love for acting and passion for studies of marginalized voices with performance. She went straight to New York City where she trained extensively in the Stanislavski method at the Elaine Aiken Actor’s Conservatory and performed in many off-Broadway shows, commercials and film.

Diahnna made her debut as an actor/writer in LA with the #1 Off Broadway hit “Pieces (of ass)". As part of the original cast in NYC she work- shopped the production and eventually traveled with it performing her original monologue definitions in New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.  A member of the LA Writers Lab, she continues to write and is attached to shoot a feature in Nigeria and Los Angeles this fall.   She is proud to bring the knowledge of making revolutionary content on a shoestring budget to Web TV Workshop.
