Eric Kohn, Film Journalist, IndieWire
Eric Kohn is a staff writer and chief film critic for indieWIRE. His writing has also appeared The New York Times and several other outlets. Born in Texas and raised in Seattle, he holds bachelors and masters degrees in cinema studies from NYU. He currently resides in Brooklyn with his girlfriend, two cats and a projector.


Erin Day, Co-Festival Director, New York Television Festival
Erin Day is the New York Television Festival's Co-Festival Director where she manages partnership and content strategy and oversees the crafting and execution of the Festival's communications and events. In 2011, Day was promoted from Director of Sponsorship where she spent five years building the Festival's industry relationships with over fifty annual partners including broadcast and cable networks, studios, agencies and brands. Day spearheaded the creation of the Festival's annual Primetime Event Series and the NYTVF Pitch Program and was part of the leadership team that oversaw the NYTVF's expansion to London in November of last year.

 

Rose Vincelli, Program Manager, IFP / New York Film Festival
Rose Vincelli is the Program Manager for the Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP), the nation’s oldest and largest organization of independent filmmakers. At IFP, Rose focuses primarily on producing their Independent Filmmaker Labs; a year-long mentorship program for first-time documentary and narrative feature directors in post-production; and Independent Film Week’s Project Forum, a meetings-driven forum scripts and features in production with key industry executives seeking new projects.

Rose is currently producing the hybrid documentary short Man on Mars, and previously produced the documentary shorts Transposition and No One Wants to Eat the Parsley. She was a film programmer for the 2005-07 SILVERDOCS: AFI / Discovery Channel Documentary Festivals. She majored in media studies at Hampshire College. Born in Canada and raised in Richmond, VA, Rose has great passion for food, film and art; all things she’s revels in in Brooklyn, NY.

 

Emily Rothschild, Acquisitions Manager, New Video
As New Video’s Manager of Acquisitions, Emily Rothschild oversees all acquisitions for Docurama Films, New Video’s acclaimed label of award-winning documentaries.  Additionally, she acquires content for theatrical, DVD, VOD and digital release across New Video’s various brands and for the company’s industry-leading digital aggregation arm. Recent acquisitions include the Sundance award-winning Hell and Back Again, Being Elmo, Revenge of the Electric Car, and Woody Allen: A Documentary. Prior to joining New Video, Emily served as Director of Marketing and Distribution for Arthouse Films, where she worked on the theatrical releases of several acclaimed documentaries, including the Oscar-nominated Waste Land and Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child.

 

Stefan Forbes, Director & Producer, InterPositive Media
Stefan Forbes is an Emmy-nominated director. His award-winning documentary Boogie Man: The Lee Atwater Story won a national Edward R. Murrow Award, the Polk Award for Excellence in Journalism, and was nominated for a WGA Award for Best Theatrical Documentary. It played 40 US cities theatrically and was seen on PBS's Frontline, The BBC's Storyville, the CBC's Passionate Eye, and was a Critic's Pick in newspapers worldwide. Mr. Forbes' hourlong documentary One More Dead Fish, about environmentally-friendly fishermen in Nova Scotia fighting globalization, was broadcast on PBS. He has directed and produced many award-winning music videos.

Mr. Forbes' socially conscious production company InterPositive Media was named one of 2009's Global Top 100 Production Companies by RealScreen magazine. They have created award-winning national PSA campaigns featuring Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlize Theron, Mike Myers, Susan Sarandon, Matthew Broderick, and others. Mr. Forbes is a 2006 New York Foundation for the Arts Fellow and the 2008 winner of the IDA's Emerging Filmmaker Award.

 

Cara Cusumano, Programmer, Tribeca Film Festival
Cara Cusumano is a Programmer for the Tribeca Film Festival.  Prior to Tribeca, she programmed for the Hamptons International Film Festival for five years, including curating HIFF’s signature Conflict & Resolution sidebar and Oscar-qualifying shorts program.  She has led film festival strategy workshops for organizations such as Cinereach and NYC’s School of Visual Arts, and has worked with film organizations including the Brooklyn International Film Festival, European Film Promotion, POV, and the Gold Coast International Film Festival.  She holds a degree in English Literature, Film, and Art History from Columbia University’s Barnard College, and a Master of Arts in Cinema Studies from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts
